Green CSCS Cards Made Simple

To get the Green CSCS Labourers Card, you will only need 2 things. You will need to pass a Level 1 Health & Safety Course, which can be done online, with us. You will also need to have completed a CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for Operatives within the last 2 years. We can book you in to an approved test centre for a date of your choosing.

If you have both of those things, you can go right ahead and apply for your Green CSCS Card.

Since February 2025, a first-time green Labourer card is valid for 2 years. After that you can renew for 5 years by evidencing continued labouring work and passing the CITB test again.

General labouring and site-operative roles. It does not cover skilled trades such as bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing or electrical work, which need a blue Skilled Worker card with the relevant NVQ Level 2.

We have dates available every single day, so there's nothing to pick at checkout. Once you've paid, our training coordinator will email you so you can choose the day that suits you best. Whether you want to get started straight away or plan it for a date further ahead, select your preferred day and we'll get you booked in.

Yes. After you buy, we email you the course dates and a link to join remotely, so you complete the Level 1 Health & Safety course and assessment on your own PC or laptop. You'll need a working camera and microphone for the supervised session.

It's the same easy purchase flow, but the test itself is sat in person. Once you've paid, we email you everything you need to attend your test at an approved centre. It's 50 questions in 45 minutes with a 90% pass mark, so you need 45 out of 50 to pass.
